FAQ

What is Lionfish Caribbean jewelry made of? Each piece is handcrafted from real lionfish fins harvested right here in the Caribbean. We use the tail fin, pelvic fin, and pectoral fin, each with its own unique natural colors and patterns.

Will my piece look exactly like the photo? Close, but not identical. Since every fin is organic and no two lionfish are exactly alike, colors can vary. You are guaranteed a one-of-a-kind piece though, which is kind of the whole point.

Are the materials safe for sensitive skin? Yes. We use high-quality hypo-allergenic materials with no nickel. Great news if you have sensitive skin or metal allergies.

Do you offer gold-colored jewelry? Yes, we carry a selection of stainless steel gold-colored pieces. Not every product comes in gold, but we have a good range of options across styles.

Can colors change over time? Yes. Since the fins are a natural material, colors can shift slightly over time. Treat your piece with care and it will last a long time.

How long does shipping take? Orders are dispatched within 3 business days. Delivery times vary by destination and are estimates only.

Does buying from you actually help the reef? Every purchase supports our reef conservation mission. The lionfish is an invasive species that damages Caribbean coral reefs, so by wearing our jewelry you are helping raise awareness and fund the work of getting them out of the water.

Can I get a custom piece made from my own catch? If you are in the Caribbean, yes! Just bring your fins to our studio and we will create something custom for you in about 4 days for a small fee of USD 25.
